Two Moms making it happen. When you get word there are hungry students in your kid's school, you work to fix it. That is what Karen Lanman and Amy Couvillon are doing.

Karen and Amy are long time Carrollton residents where all 6 of their children attended school in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. They became friends while volunteering together at the elementary school and through the years that followed, these Moms have seen their share of what it takes to get something done!

Feed hungry students? Karen and Amy had no experience in anything like this, but knew they needed to take it on and so, The Red Basket Program began.

Giving Activity

Mission

In an effort to help counselors identify hungry students, The Red Basket Program provides snacks to hungry students in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD High Schools. Baskets full of protein snacks allow hungry students to grab a snack, take their seat & start the day off better!

Hungry Students + Snacks = Boosted Brain Power

Needs

Monetary donations and snacks are the best way to help our small organization have the ability to continually supply the classrooms teachers and counselors with protein snacks for the hungry students throughout the school year.

Equity Statement

If there are snacks or funds to purchase snacks, we deliver snacks.
