Scottish Rite for Children has a long-standing history of treating orthopedic conditions dating back a full century! Each year, our clinicians serve more than 40,000 children challenged by complex orthopedic conditions including scoliosis, clubfoot, hand differences, hip disorders, limb length discrepancies and sports injuries. Our patients range in age from birth through 18 years, and are referred by physicians from across the state and around the country.
Care at Scottish Rite for Children is provided through our six Centers for Excellence, which bring together experts from a variety of disciplines to advance the field through clinically relevant research and administer exceptional care to patients. We are also one of the few medical facilities with an on-site Orthotics and Prosthetics lab, which creates custom devices to meet the needs of children with limb loss due to congenital conditions, trauma or disease. Children with learning disorders, like dyslexia, are served through the hospital's Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders. By structuring medical teams to ensure that patients are evaluated by the same clinicians on every visit, we are able to provide high-quality, consistent care that brings hope to families and transforms patients' lives.
