The Friends of the Rita & Truett Smith Library meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm to discuss various library issues. 

The Friends are a 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) non-profit organization. Annual membership dues and donations are tax-deductible. To learn more about how to support the Friends or to become a member visit the Friends of the Library webpage.

Since 2015 the Friends have donated over $49,000 to the library which is open to all Texas residents.

The Friends of the Rita & Truett Smith Library operates exclusively for the civic purpose of supporting the library. They accomplish this through advocacy and fundraising to help the library with its mission of providing educational, informational, and recreational resources to all library patrons.
