Our Story
Your gift to Songs & Smiles will bring joy to people living with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia.
Your gift will directly impact families in north Texas, brining joy to people through SINGALONG SHOWS and our JOYFUL MEMORIES, our dementia-friendly magazine. These programs help people living with dementia connect with family and friends, as well as with their own memories and emotions.
Songs & Smiles is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization built with the mission of keeping families connected during the Alzheimer’s journey. Our work is supported primarily by donations from generous individuals. Songs & Smiles also has been awarded generous grants from The Pollination Project, the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA), and AWARE, a fund of The Dallas Foundation.

Keeping families connected during the Alzheimer's journey.
Needs
SINGALONGS: We have presented hundreds of singalong shows in North Texas. We train and equip volunteer singalong leaders to present more shows for more people.
1. Your gift of $50 will pay for the creation of a custom recording and a new video for use in our singalong shows.
2. Your gift of $125 will pay for a singalong show at a memory care home in North Texas.
3. Your gift of $500 will pay for equipment (speaker, microphone, tablets, TVs, cables) used to present our singalong shows.

DEMENTIA-FRIENDLY MAGAZINE: We create and produce Joyful Memories, a dementia-friendly magazine.
1. Your gift of $50 will pay for 10 issue to be distributed to residents of memory care homes in North Texas.
2. Your gift of $100 will pay for 20 issue to be distributed to residents of memory care homes in North Texas.
3. Your gift of $1,000 will pay for 200 issue to be distributed to residents of memory care homes in North Texas.
4. Your gift of $6,000 will cover the cost of creating a new issue (includes writing, design, photo rights, and initial print run of 500 copies).

Songs & Smiles is committed to keeping families connected during the Alzheimer's journey. Alzheimer's can impact anyone, but underserved communities are less likely to have access to care and support services. We want to help change that.
