Sonny James Equine Ministries is an organization with goals to build up girls and boys through the knowledge and understanding that a relationship with God is the foundation to a fulfilling life.
Cherie and her husband, Johnny, mentored several kids who needed a foundational equine experience, and whose parents could not afford it. In 2017, several parents of the team members saw this financial burden and encouraged Cherie to found Sonny James Equine Ministries, a 501C3 nonprofit. The ministry is now able to ease that financial burden by offering sponsorship programs, allowing more kids to follow their dreams and grow in their faith.
Thanks to the support of our generous donors, we are able to have 70+ girls and boys and 50+ horses in our program. With your help we will be able to continue to share the gospel and teach children about one of God's most beautiful creatures.

To provide girls and boys with an opportunity to develop positive character, self esteem, self discipline, and a knowledge of Christ through participation in individual and team equine training activities.
Needs
Our needs are changing by the day, depending on the circumstances, making a monetary donation the best way to support our organization. Your donation will go towards helping young boys and girls achieve their goals in the equine industry, through our scholarship program. These scholarships are used for general care of horses (feed, vet bills, etc.), show expenses, tack, etc.
