Our Modest Ask, Their Real Struggles
While we do ask for donations only a few times a year to support our community fairs, the truth is, we need recurring support to make a lasting impact. Our ask may be modest, but the struggles faced by those in need are anything but.
Join Us in Breaking Down Barriers
I invite you to consider donating to our North Texas Giving Day fundraiser and becoming a recurring monthly supporter of STORM. Your recurring support isn't just about dollars; it's about providing a lifeline for individuals in transition. It's about offering hope, stability, and a chance at a brighter future.
What Can You Do Next?
Donate: If you haven't already, consider making a donation today, even if it's a modest amount. Your contribution matters.
Spread the Word: Share our cause with your friends and family. Encourage them to join you in supporting this critical goal.
Challenge Others: Challenge your network to support our mission. You'd be surprised how many people are eager to make a difference when they hear about a cause from someone they trust.
Partner with STORM: Your support, no matter how big or small, can create a ripple effect of positive change in the lives of these young individuals. Together, we can break down barriers, build hope, and empower them to achieve their full potential. Contact us: contact@stormcohs.org or sjacobs@stormcohs.org
The reality is that we often lack the funds to cover the cost of providing emergency shelter, but with your support, we can change that. Your generosity can be a beacon of hope for those in need.
Here's the Good News: 100% Support for Our Mission
We want to emphasize something crucial. With STORM, every dollar you contribute goes directly toward our mission. Our "ratio means that 100% of all expended funds directly support our mission of providing essential giving for those we serve. Not a single donated dollar goes toward anyone’s salary."
This means your donation, no matter the size, directly impacts those in need without any administrative deductions.
The Power of Your Support
Your support not only breaks down barriers but also ensures that every dollar goes where it's needed most. STORM's commitment to transparency means your trust is well-placed.
STORM walks alongside and addresses the needs of young people, ages 14-28, who were in or are transitioning from out-of-home placement care (foster, kinship, group, couch surfing) to achieve self-sufficiency, with personalized support, coaching, planning, intentional giving, and access to additional resources.
The initial steps in providing an effective solution which will benefit individuals for a lifetime is first to listen to what they need; evaluate the skills and needs then research and provide the available resources. If we don’t have a program that matches the needs of our youth, we have spent time building relationships, networked connections within the community.
Preventing homelessness and providing transitional planning to youth and adults in or formerly was in out-of-home placement care, ages 14-28 years old is our top priority. Storm Center of Hope & Service, Inc. is committed to building a restored sense of hope, self-empowerment, and self-assurance in our adolescence, focusing on their inner capacity and self-esteem as a supportive partner in society. The key goal of the Storm Center of Hope & Service is to elevate our pillars Set-apart, Together, Overcomers, Resilience and Mindfulness, with an emphasis on the infinite possibilities of their future.
Our mission is to be servant-leaders in our communities. We strive to inspire hope, empower breakthroughs, and alleviate barriers between mental and emotional wellness for vulnerable youth and young adults. By bridging the gap between crisis and stability, we advocate self-sufficiency and well-being.
Our goal is to expand our impact by rolling out critical programs such as life skills training, mentorship opportunities, and intentional giving. We also aim to address urgent needs like emergency and transitional shelter.
