SVP Dallas does more than give away money. We amplify the impact of those out to do good in three distinct ways:

- Fund and strengthen nonprofits, helping them take their vital work to the next level with selected Advisee capacity-building projects and the Nonprofit Impact Institute Workshops and Toolkit Series.

SVP Dallas' Mission is focused around three clearly defined Ends:
For Partner Organizations & Stakeholders: Organizations focused on eliminating social injustice in Greater Dallas increase their capacity for social impact.
For SVP Partners: SVP Partners develop and hone the skills and knowledge necessary to leverage their collective influence to address the root causes of social injustice in Greater Dallas.
For the Broader Community: SVP Dallas is an effective convener and catalyst for engaged leaders in the Greater Dallas Community who seek viable solutions to social injustice.
To grow the capacity of organizations focused on eliminating social injustice in our region, develop philanthropists equipped to address root cause issues, and catalyze new collaborations around viable solutions to some of North Texas’ most pressing challenges.

At SVP, we recognize that our global systems, including philanthropy, are too often exacerbating instead of solving issues of racial and economic injustice.
Several years ago, our SVP Dallas Board of Governors decided to work together to clearly express our values and our beliefs and to redirect our collective focus. The board concluded that the underlying cause of most of our society’s ailments is, in fact, racism. More specifically, it is systemic racism. The board redirected our mission to offer targeted support to those organizations that have specific missions to eradicate the ill effects of systemic injustice. Our theory of change is focused on building the capacity of these organizations that do this painstaking work every day, so they can do more, reach more, make more impact.
Racial and social justice is not just this week’s issue, it is an issue that has caused centuries of oppression, gaping disparities, and inhumane inequity.
