Bridge to the Future: Empowering Impact, Fostering Change

At SWAN Impact Network, we believe in the power of community, innovation, and purposeful action to create lasting change. Since 2016, SWAN has been on a mission to improve the world by empowering creative entrepreneurs to tackle the world’s most pressing problems. As a 501c3 non-profit, we educate and support entrepreneurs and others in North Texas and beyond.

When you donate to SWAN during North Texas Giving Day, you're not just giving money; you're helping us Bridge to the Future—a future where impactful change is possible. Your contribution enables us to:

-Bring together investors interested in supporting pre-seed and seed startups focused on measurable social/environmental impact and solid financial potential.
-Connect talented entrepreneurs with impact investors who share their vision.
-Help open doors to accelerators that propel their ventures forward.
-Provide education and mentorship to both entrepreneurs and interested individuals learning how to navigate the startup landscape.

Your contribution also allows us to support changemakers working on solutions like:

-Clean energy solutions powering communities.
-Accessible healthcare reaching underserved populations.
-Empowering initiatives fostering economic equality.
-Tackling societal challenges.

Skyven Technologies, whose goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from industrial plants, is just one example of the transformative power of SWAN’s investment, support, and mentorship. With help from SWAN members, Skyven has already achieved success in turning visionary ideas into impactful, real-world solutions. The company announced in 2024 a $145M investment from the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations to help accelerate Skyven’s mission to decarbonize industrial process heat at manufacturing facilities nationwide, revolutionizing energy use and fighting climate change. They were also recognized with a 2024 Climate Finance Innovator award from the Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Better Plants Initiative for its innovative decarbonization financing solutions that go beyond current market practices.

SWAN also champions overlooked talent. We've already invested in more than 50% women and people of color founders, unlocking their potential to shape a more equitable future.

Some changemakers we've supported:

-Arun Gupta, founder of Skyven Technologies, is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from industrial plants.
-Casey Qadir, founder of Hubly Surgicalis working to deliver patented, FDA-cleared, technology that is the first and only single-use cranial drill with advanced safety and efficiency features.
-Ashley Hamilton and Damian McKeon, founders of Aiki, are working to reduce deaths and injuries from Active Shooter Attacks.
-Lori Most, founder of Binary Bridge (Backpack EMR)is improving the quality of healthcare for underserved populations with unreliable electrical power or internet access by providing an easy-to-use and affordable medical records software solution.

By supporting SWAN, you're not just investing in startups but igniting a wave of positive change. You empower overlooked talent, foster inclusive innovation, and shape a brighter tomorrow. Join us in this mission, and help us build a bridge to a brighter, more equitable future.

Mission

SWAN Impact Network has a passion for making the world a better place. We invest in early-stage startups who are providing market-significant solutions that address important societal and environmental challenges. We expect those companies to deliver measurable social or environmental impact, and to have solid plans for financial success.

Needs

By donating to SWAN Impact Network, you can help multiply the impact that we are having on the world. Donations will enable us to continue to build a sustainable and professional organization that can connect talented entrepreneurs with impact investors who share their vision and provide educational and networking opportunities and mentorship to both entrepreneurs and interested individuals learning how to navigate the startup landscape.

Equity Statement

We recognize that women and people of color startup founders have been underfunded by the startup investment community. More than half of our investments have gone to these underrepresented founders. Additionally, nearly half of our team comes from underrepresented backgrounds.
