The purpose of Talk with Ms. B., is to enrich the lives of individuals and promote wellness in the following areas: mental, physical, educational, spiritual, and financial through one conversation at a time. By having these conversations, we hope to enrich the environment that will empower individuals and families to have a positive effect on their community and to live a productive life. Using creative arts and expression we plan to promote and develop a person’s self-worth and self-respect.
Talk with Ms. B. Inc exists for the following purposes:
1. To provide an enriching environment that will empower women, children/youth, and families to have a positive effect on their community
2. To assist individual to be able to live a productive lifestyle in the community
3. To enrich the lives of people and promote wellness in the following areas mental and physical health, education, spiritual, and financial
4. To promote the self-worth of the people, and the respect of others
5. To provide an environment so that it is less likely for the individuals to resort to drug and alcohol abuse, sex, violence
The focus of Talk with MS. B. is to make a difference in the lives of children, youth and adults. This year we have two major initiatives.
It is easy to look at the school system and state what is wrong. Our goal is not to look at what is wrong, instead, we aim to make a difference little by little. We have adopted a group of 6th grade students who we will follow through the school year to have a positive impact on their education and their families.
Our goal is to provide these students and families with enriching activities such as healthy cooking classes, financial literacy, provide them with various professionals from various careers that they may never consider and more. We will also sponsor a career day for the school.
Another initiative is the empowerment of women. We host quarterly gatherings for women to gather in a child free environment to share, have fun, play games and enjoy food, fun, and fellowship. We build community and support for women.
