We love animals.  We save lives.

TCAP is on a mission to end pet overpopulation and promote community animal welfare across North Texas.  We want to end pet euthanasia in shelters.  We want access to affordable pet healthcare for all.

We accomplish this mission by providing low-cost, and often free, spays, neuters, and vaccines across the metroplex. Since our founding in 2002, we have provided more than 790,000 free or low-cost spays/neuters and more than 1.6 million rabies vaccines to North Texas pets.

Our dedicated staff operates eight clinics across DFW offering spay/neuter and pet wellness services.  We also provide weekend clinics providing low-cost wellness services such as vaccines, heartworm tests, and microchipping.

When you join our mission, you're creating a better Texas For Them — helping fund veterinary wellness care for cats and dogs who need it most. Your donations pets whose parents otherwise cannot afford vet care.  These include shelter pets, rescue pets, feral cats, and so many more! #TexasForThem

Who are they?

  • Pets who bring us comfort during our everyday lives
  • Community pets whose parents are facing financial hardship
  • Pets experiencing homelessness in need of essential vet care
  • Pets housed in city shelters & with rescue partners whose budgets are strained due to overpopulation
  • Feral cat populations throughout North Texas in need of sterilizations and vaccines to curb overpopulation and prevent disease

Mission

Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) exists to end pet overpopulation and improve community animal welfare by providing low-cost preventative services throughout North Texas. Our work won't be done until we have created a better #TexasForThem.

Needs

Financial donations go towards underwriting TCAP's low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination services.

TCAP was established in 2002 to provide an affordable way to spay and neuter pets. Since then, we've opened eight clinics and added various services, including microchipping, heartworm testing and prevention, and dental cleanings. TCAP's prices are, on average, 87% less than what traditional veterinary clinics charge.

In 2023 alone, TCAP spayed and neutered more than 70,000 animals and vaccinated more than 167,000 animals against the deadly rabies virus. Help us continue our life-saving work for North Texas people and their pets.

We foster an inclusive environment where all pets and their people are welcome.
