The Texas Organizing Project Education Fund (TOPEF) engages Black and Latino communities in the three largest metro areas in Texas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio) through year round community organizing, leadership development, and civic engagement along a multi-issue agenda including: quality schools, access to healthcare, family-sustaining wages, benefits and job training, neighborhood infrastructure, housing justice, climate justice, criminal legal reform and immigrants’ rights.

Mission

Texas Organizing Project Education Fund's mission is to improve the lives of low and moderate income Texas families of color by building power through community organizing and civic engagement. Since our founding in 2009, TOPEF has grown to a staff of around 45, with a base of over 313,000 grassroots supporters.
