Texas Veterans Hall of Fame (TVHOF) was created to honor all our Texas Veterans. TVHOF provides a venue to educate the public on all military history and allow Texas military Veterans to be inducted into the Texas Veterans Hall of Fame. These inductees will be recognized for their military service, sacrifices and accomplishments to our nation and to the State of Texas. These inductees will be selected exclusively for their heroic military service to our country and or for combined military/civilian service to our community, state, and nation. The following are the induction categories.

Categories for the Induction:
1. For Valor or Heroic Military Service
2. For Combined Military/Civilian Service to the Community, State and Nation
3. For organizations that make a difference in the lives of Texas Veterans
4. Patriotism- honor all Texas Veterans with a marker that has a QR code on the back and placed on each grave. This is our signature project to honor all veterans. When visiting the grave and if there is a Patriot marker on the grave, the visitor can scan the QR code and read about that Veteran. When visiting our permanent facility, a visitor can search for a veteran and their story will come up. If the visitor wants to go to the grave, they will have access to GPS Coordinates of the exact location. We placed markers on over 600 graves in the two City of Denton cemeteries. We are now populating our database of profiles buried in cemeteries all over the State of Texas.

Our Needs

Funds will be used to purchase the grave markers. Will help offset the cost of our induction ceremony and overhead cost for our museum located in the Golden Triangle Mall in Denton, TX. Will provide funding for our Trail of Heroes project, where the public, especially the younger generation can complete an online course that is made up of modules and lesson plans. Course material include, but not limited to Texas military history and their involvement in all US Wars.  www.txveterans.org.

Needs

Since 2018, we have gone from a 45 square foot display to a 4200 square foot museum. In 2023, our records show that we had over 30,000 visitors to our museum and sponsored events. Major features include a WWI Virtual Realty system that puts one in the trenches, a hall of heroes with murals of the different wars. In 2022, we added a women area for Texas Women Veterans. We are 90 percent complete on our media center, where we will do podcasts and feature media/simulator programs. Our needs are funding to maintain the museum, our mobile museum and special events. This year we will be bringing the American Veterans Traveling Tribute wall back to Denton. We will have a 4th of July concert with the 395th Army band. During this time, we will have the narration of the American Buffalo Soldiers done by Major General Anthony Woods, Texas State Guard Commander.Lastly we will host our 6th annual induction ceremony, where our keynote speaker is Don Graves, the last surviving marine of Iwo Jima. . Funds are needed to provide support for our Remember Them Forever project.
