Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to live life as they define it through advocacy, awareness, training, and support, ensuring they live fulfilling, self-determined lives.

Founded in 1971 by dedicated families, The Arc of DFW Area has grown into a robust community of self-advocates, parents, family members, and allies. For over 50 years, we have worked tirelessly to expand opportunities for individuals with disabilities, driven by a shared passion for their rights and inclusion.
