Our purpose at The City of Hope Project (a 501(c)3 progam) is to uplift and empower the Cedar Crest community in Oak Cliff by addressing fundamental needs such as food and clothing, while also sharing God's love and fostering hope. We are dedicated to serving individuals and families in one of the most underserved areas of Dallas, striving to restore dignity and resilience through compassionate support and holistic care. By meeting immediate needs and offering a sense of hope and belonging, we aim to build a stronger, more vibrant community where every person can thrive.


Giving Activity

Mission

We believe a strong Christ-centered community can provide the hope ,and change needed to both prevent ,and repair broken lives. Our mission is to locate families or individuals in need, provide the discipleship ,services, and resources required to navigate life. Our goal is to interrupt the cycle of hunger, substance abuse,and joblessness in order to stop the cycle of homelessness.

Needs

We are currently in need of funds to make repairs to the exterior of our current food pantry and thrift store location as well as finish the thrift store.

Building needs:

Exterior gate/fence repair ($4000), New A/C installed ($2500), Exterior lighting ($1500), Exterior building painting ($4500), Replace/Repair Security cameras ($500).

Thrift store needs:

6 shelving racks ($119 ea), 5 clothing racks ($112 ea)

Box Truck Repairs needed ($2000) used to pick up food and donations.

We will fully integrate race equity into every aspect of our operations, and the programs that we provide. We will work toward the racism whenever we encounter it, and improve the outcome for all involved.
