Welcome to Thinkatorium: A Unique Non-Profit Experience in North Texas!

Thinkatorium is not your ordinary non-profit. We are a pioneering initiative right here in North Texas that is revolutionizing the way we approach education. Our innovative concept transforms conventional school field trips into captivating STEAM-themed reverse-field trips, all conveniently brought to your doorstep. Say goodbye to the headaches of arranging parent/volunteer ratios and the logistical puzzle of coordinating and financing transportation. With Thinkatorium, the excitement of learning comes directly to your school!

Our primary mission is to ignite young minds through immersive, hands-on activities that spark a lifelong passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). By reimagining the traditional field trip model, we not only provide enriching educational experiences but also alleviate the challenges faced by both educators and parents.

Bid farewell to the traditional constraints of field trips. Thinkatorium is here to empower schools to offer meaningful learning encounters without the stress. Our dynamic approach not only captivates students' imaginations but also lightens the load for dedicated teachers and parents while still linking to the TEKS.

At the heart of Thinkatorium's genesis is Kate Van Dellen, an aerospace engineer and esteemed engineering professor at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). With a lifelong passion for flight that began at the age of 13, Kate envisions a world where every child's potential knows no bounds. Thinkatorium was born from this vision - a place where learning converges with excitement, and creativity flourishes without limits.

Join us on an extraordinary journey as we rewrite the story of education.

Mission

The Thinkatorium is an interactive science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) mobile museum that engages children 18 months to 12 years old and their caregivers to explore, question, and care for the world around them.

Needs

We have big dreams! We need physical resources for our traveling museum, transportation upgrade, exhibit development, and a try-it space!

We also need to get the word out - Like us on Facebook or Instagram!

Become a Thinkateer! We need more event volunteers and material prep volunteers!

Equity Statement

At the Thinkatorium, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that celebrates and promotes equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education. We believe that every individual, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances, should have the opportunity to engage, explore, and excel in STEAM disciplines.

Together, we aspire to create a future where the boundaries of knowledge are limitless and opportunities are accessible to all.
