LeeAnne Chenoweth is violinist, founder, president and artistic director of Timeless Concerts; presenting music of various countries of the world and time periods from Vivaldi to today. She was a member of the Ft. Worth Symphony violin section 1990-2007. Timeless Concerts first concert was in summer 2007.  This series is unique; a chamber music, or small ensemble performing at least 10 concerts per year in Tarrant County. Coming from an orchestral background, Chenoweth knew many of the composers she loved had not only composed for large orchestra, but also for the group of piano, violin and cello; this is the ensemble she chose when starting the series.  She also loves beautiful opera arias and songs of musicals, so singers are included. See by our performers' bios on the Timeless Concerts website that everyone has solid professional credentials and performance experience. We like to tell our audience about the songs to be sung, translating if needed, history of the composers and about what inspired them.

The concerts are one hour, not 2 or longer as you would expect at a concert hall. Also, they are NOT in a concert hall, but in smaller venues, as we are acoustic. The audience enjoys this experience very much, as they can be close to the performers, it is an intimate space with table seating, complimentary drinks, and a capacity of 200. At under $40 per ticket you can’t get so close to the performers at large music halls, plus have complimentary refreshments. There is even a post concert party with a pianist who takes requests. We do rely on grants and donations to keep ticket prices affordable; as with most non profit arts orgs, ticket sales only cover half of our operating budget.

Chenoweth and other Timeless Concerts performers donate their time visiting area title 1 schools, to perform and educate students not only about music, but also about different careers in music, from teaching to performing to music therapy. Ms. Chenoweth especially encourages those in elementary school orchestra to continue through high school.  Many studies have found that students benefit greatly by including music in their education. Music ed fosters greater work ethic and self discipline from the need to practice an instrument individually, helps form friendships from the group effort of being in orchestra or band,  builds confidence, relieves stress, and improves test scores in general as music activates both the left and right brain simultaneously. Chenoweth hopes to inspire students to be engaged in and appreciate the arts, pointing out that today's famous composer of Star Wars fame, John Williams, was inspired by classical composers such as Beethoven and Holst. Students are offered free tickets to Timeless. Some have continued to attend Timeless Concerts even after high school. Timeless musicians wanted to maintain a connection with the orchestra students and began sharing part of the Timeless funds with schools for much needed orchestra class supplies and instrument repairs.

Our 5 concert themes are performed in pairs; one at our large venue, the Holt Hickman Center in Ft. Worth, and one at a smaller venue in Arlington, River Legacy Nature Center. Our February 2024 concerts "Valentines Special"  was a sell out, and was followed by our April 2024 concerts, “Back to Nature'" featuring Vaughn William's "Lark Ascending" and Ravel's "Conference of the Birds" for piano. Our July 2024 concert, "Made in America", featured music of John Williams, Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin, including our small ensemble version of "Rhapsody in Blue." The September 2024 concerts, "Music of the Spanish Language", will include music for the trio of piano, violin and cello by Spanish composer Joaquin Turina, tangos of Argentina, plus songs of Mexico. November's theme, "Italy to Ireland," will feature Neapolitan songs of Italy and Celtic fiddling of Ireland and Scotland.

Timeless Concerts' goal is to keep great music of all time alive; to raise up future arts supporters. Each concert has a big variety,  something for everyone. The same concert could have everything from a tango, to a movie theme, to opera, to Mozart! Some things may be recognized, and some things a new adventure in music. Please see our videos on our home page of the website, to better understand how Timeless Concerts impacts north Texas. The 2 minute video top of home page showcases our variety; the longer video below it explains our mission and work.

In 2010, Ms. Chenoweth was recognized as a recipient of the Legacy of Women award, representing the arts in Arlington, given to her by the SafeHaven of Tarrant County for her work in creating and producing Timeless Concerts.

Mission

Our mission is to present chamber music of all styles and eras, in a casual and engaging environment, in order to provide education about, plus promote appreciation and support for live classical music performances.

Needs

Our need is for general operating support. Ticket sales do not meet all expenses, as is normal for any performing arts organization, as we wish to keep tickets affordable. Normal formula is 50% earnings from ticket sales, 50% earnings from grants and small donations from individuals or businesses. We need extra funding to continue providing 10 concerts per year at affordable ticket prices and continue offering free student tickets. We have lost our long-time venue due to construction/reconfiguration. New venues are 50% more expensive; it is time to reach out for donations in different ways.

Equity Statement

No specific audience targeted, of particular socio-economic status (except for our relationship with Title 1 schools where we perform outreach programs), race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age or physical ability or language. Timeless works to address the problem of today's society not being exposed to valuable performing arts of all times and various countries of the world.

We address the problem of parents not being able to afford to bring their children to professional performances, offering free tickets for students ages 10-17 (have a lower cost ticket for college students, and senior citizens). It is stated that Timeless performs outreach programs to hundreds in Arlington schools; however, there is no specification on where students must live, to receive free tickets. Our website states youth 10-17 may attend free of charge.

Many different races and age groups attend our concerts; we want everyone to feel welcome. (Our title 1 school students are primarily Hispanic and African American.) We do not know of any other concert series such as ours, which offers chamber music, song, and fellowship of music lovers in Tarrant County. We draw audience not only locally but from as far away as Denton, Mesquite and Weatherford in surrounding counties.
