We aRe HER organization is a mentoring non-profit focused on empowering girls and young women, by providing them with culinary education. Through this unique approach, we teach leadership and life skills, helping them create a pathway to sustainability. Our services include a Culinary Arts program, where participants learn dining etiquette, cooking techniques, and essential life skills through hands-on activities.
We also offer programs like our 'Queens in Training' and 'Through It All,' which provide mentorship and support to women and young girls in specific communities. Additionally, we have our 'Let Her Talk' podcast, which gives young girls and women a platform to share their stories and experiences and learn how to advocate for themselves.
Our services are the holistic development of all females, using culinary education as a vehicle to instill confidence, responsibility, and independence, ultimately guiding them toward a successful future.
I started this organization because I recognized a gap in support and opportunities for girls and young women, especially those who may be facing challenges such as early motherhood, lack of mentorship, or limited access to resources. I saw the potential in using culinary education as a powerful tool to not only teach practical skills but also to empower women and young girls with the confidence, leadership abilities, and life skills they need to thrive.
I knew by creating a nurturing environment where they could learn, grow, and develop, our organization would provide a pathway to sustainability and success, helping them overcome obstacles and build a better future for themselves and their families. My passion for mentoring and uplifting young women and girls is what drives our mission to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
We help our community of women through skill development, by offering culinary education, we equip young girls and women with valuable cooking skills that can be applied both at home and professionally, enhancing their daily lives, and opening up potential career opportunities in the culinary field.
Our women's program provides vital tools for bridging the gender divide in leadership positions, bringing together women of different generations to share experiences, and creating connections between seasoned women leaders and the upcoming generation, fostering growth, and leadership development among women. Our program aids in diminishing the gender gap in leadership roles, as it provides opportunities for established women to pass on their knowledge and provide encouragement to the next generation of female leaders.
