The Well Ministries of DFW formerly known as Dallas Outcry in the Barrio, is located in the heart of South Dallas, Fair Park area. Our aim is to build a strong infrastructure of hope and freedom at the Recovery Center. As we have all seen on the news the drug abuse , in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is staggering. An annual average of 641,000 persons aged 12 or older used any illicit drug in the past year. This represents 13.2 percent of the population, which is similar to rate for the State of Texas (12.6 percent). The rate of marijuana use in the past year was 8.7 percent, which was similar to the rate in the entire State of Texas. The rate of non-medical use of prescription-type pain relievers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area was 5.2 percent and was similar to the rates in the State of Texas and in the Nation. In building a stronger infrastructure of hope and freedom we are able to provide an environment more conducive to transformation, and freedom in the community. The Well has helped over 10,000 individuals suffering with addiction since our inception in 2011. Our goals for the future include a recovery facility for women and Rescue Centers where we will offer social services to families in low income housing developments.
