WFAA Santa's Helpers

A nonprofit organization

WFAA's Santa's Helpers is in its 56th year in 2025! Each year, Santa's Helpers provides more than 50,000 toys to children in Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties. Hosted by WFAA Chief Meteorologist Pete Delkus and coordinated by WFAA's Community Impact Team, Santa's Helpers is one of the largest and longest-running holiday toy drives in North Texas. WFAA works directly with non-profit beneficiaries to distribute toys and bicycles to children. In addition to toys collected at five drive-thru events and via an Amazon wish list, WFAA uses financial contributions raised through CFT to purchase toys at wholesale prices supplementing the overall collection effort.

This year, we need your help now more than ever!
Santa's Helpers non-profit partners face a growing need and have requested 70,000 toys this year.
Donate today to help Santa's Helpers meet the need!

THE WHY

"The Santa's Helpers program helps us bring joy to over 4,400 kiddos in Dallas County. We work hard to make sure each child receives two toys for Christmas. The toys from Santa's Helpers, in addition to what we collect from corporate partners, groups and individuals, ensure that no child is left behind. Thank you!" - Community Partners of Dallas

"Many of our families are low income and our families in emergency shelter have had recent trauma from family violence. The gift we give them through Santa's Helpers makes the holiday brighter and less stressful." - Hope's Door

"We would not have the quantity and quality of toys/gifts with the help of Santa's Helpers.  Kids felt valued and loved when they received their new toy.  Families were relieved of economic burdens during Christmas! December is often the most financially stressful time causing abuse, addictions, crime, etc.  Thank you, Santa's Helpers, for helping us impact our families in December." - Youth World

"This program is amazing. There are so many families that express such appreciation, gratitude and relief.  Without this program there are many children in West Dallas who would not have anything to unwrap at Christmas.  It is exciting to see the children return to the Center after Christmas playing with the toy that they received or wearing the headphones provided.  Additionally, without WFAA, we could not collect this amount of toys to meet the needs in our community.  With the support and assistance of WFAA, we are collaboratively about to make Christmas morning a positive experience for parents and guardians and children." - West Dallas Multipurpose Center
