Wise Hope

Offers safe, free, and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in 3 rural counties of North Texas: Wise, Jack and Montague. Often, due to metropolitan area shelters staying full, we are also a safe place for survivors in the DFW and surrounding areas. We have a 24 hour hotline: 940.626.4855 and services are available in English and Spanish.

Emergency Shelter

Our 24 hour emergency shelter houses men, women and children who have been displaced due to domestic violence or sexual assault. We are a 30 day shelter with the option of extension based on client's needs. While staying in shelter, clients have access to case management, legal assistance, housing and employment referrals, support groups, counseling, life skills classes, and most importantly a safe and uplifting environment during one of the most trying times of their lives.

Outreach Services

Advocates, Community Educators and Counselors are available at our three outreach office locations in Decatur, Jacksboro and Bowie. Advocates are available to assist with protective orders, legal resources, healthy relationship courses, court accompaniment, social service referrals, hospital accompaniment, etc... Community Educators are available to teach healthy relationship courses in area schools and provide education and awareness to groups and the community on domestic violence, sexual assault and Wise Hope's mission. Counselors are available for individual counseling, group therapy, play therapy and our Domestic Violence Prevention Program (DVPP) to provide education, accountability and the skills for changed behavior to perpetrators of domestic violence.

The Hope Chest

Is our agency resale shop where clients shop completely free, most often able to furnish the home they transition to from shelter or replace items they lost during their abusive relationship.  All profits from sales go back into the agency to provide groceries for the shelter, programs for our clients and to help keep the shelter up and running.
