Alliance for Greater Works

A nonprofit organization

ABOUT ALLIANCE:

Founded in 2001, Alliance for Greater Works partners with leaders, organizations, and communities to improve the wellbeing of communities.

We do that by training leaders, providing consulting and technical assistance, and offering culturally competent research and resources.

Over the last 23 years, Alliance has worked to strengthen more than 25,000 individual leaders and organizations. In addition, we have led or supported 25 collective impact initiatives designed to tackle the root causes of economic and health disparities.

We have seen how a duplication of programs and services and addressing the symptoms rather than the root of problems cause communities to remain unchanged regardless of the people and financial power. We also learned in our work with and in community that no one investor, leader, or organization can address the complex systemic issues in marginalized communities. It requires multiple partners working together to solve complex issues and a skillful guide to help them realize their goals and visions with efficacy and cultural humility.
