When you give to the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA, your gift will help young people achieve their potential, empower people of all ages to lead healthier lives, and strengthen the bonds of our community. Together, we'll take on the greatest challenges facing our young people, our health and our community. And we offer this to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. We welcome individuals from all income levels, all ages, and all backgrounds.  We bring together young and old, men and women, and people of all faiths, all for a common cause. Whether it's adaptive swim lessons, day camps or the Special Friends program for adults with developmental disabilities, the Y is a place for everyone in our community.

Inspiring Youth To Thrive

With your help, we will continue to provide life skills, teamwork and leadership development through programs helping to develop independence and confidence, promote positive academic engagement to lift our youth and teens who may struggle with self-esteem or experience difficult school or family environments.

 Investing in Water Safety 

Drowning, the leading cause of death for children between the age of 1-4, is preventable. 70% of drownings happen during non-swim times and Tarrant County has high child drowning rates. According to the CDC, formal swim lessons can reduce drowning by 88%. The YMCA partners with apartment complexes, school districts and other community organizations to ensure that kids learn the skills necessary to be safe around water.

 Building a Stronger Community

A healthy community is a strong community. Through innovative in-person and virtual programs, we can address health disparities, support mental wellness, and remove financial barriers.

  1. Livestrong for cancer survivors, Diabetes Prevention and Blood Pressure Monitoring
  2. Run for a Cure 5K
  3. Nutrition Counseling
  4. Family support programs including Parents Night Out 
  5. Onsite blood drives, flu shots and mammograms

 Removing Limits & Reimagining Possibilities

Providing kids, families and communities with the resources and opportunities they need to learn, grow, and thrive is at the core of the Y. That's why we offer a range of programs and services to meet the unique needs of the evolving community we serve.

We are intentional about serving our local neighbors that represent over 100 countries worldwide through various initiatives or events:

  4. Immigration Attorney sessions
  5. International Y partnerships

As part of the YMCA’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Engagement initiative, we partner with Ys in Vietnam, Mexico, Peru, and YMCA of the Seven Council Fires in South Dakota supporting cultural exchange and learning to gain a better understanding of segments of the populace that we seek to serve locally. This learning is crucial to our mission of being an organization FOR ALL.

GIFTS IN ACTION

Help more children and families gain access to the YMCA's impactful programs with a monetary donation to the Y FOR ALL Annual Support Campaign.

In 2023, over 3,000 people participated in Y activities because of scholarships and program support.

Your Gift Makes an Impact!

$100 (or $8 a month) can fund skill building youth sports or ESL classes

$250 (or $21 a month) can support a week of summer day camp or one month of afterschool for a child

$500 (or $42 a month) can fund critical in-person social interaction for seniors, cancer survivors, etc.

$750 (or $63 a month) can support monthly Play Days & Y on the Fly outreach activities

$1,000 (or $83 a month) can fund Livestrong classes or a partner project in Peru

$1,500 (or $125 a month) can provide access to non-athletic programs like Youth & Government, robotics and piano

$3,000 (or $250 a month) can underwrite free, water safety sessions at a local apartment complex
