Driven by the mission to make imagination a part of everyday learning, Big Thought is an impact education nonprofit dedicated to closing the opportunity gap for youth in Dallas and beyond. At its core, Big Thought empowers youth to build their creative muscle, develop social and emotional skills, and discover their authentic voice.
Throughout its 37-year history of innovation, Big Thought has become a national model in arts education, out-of-school time systems, summer learning and juvenile justice intervention. Currently, Big Thought is one of six community partnerships in the U.S. helping scale national best practices in social and emotional learning (SEL) with The Wallace Foundation.

$25 - provides one-on-one opportunity advising for youth-led learning experiences
$50 - provides supplies for one professional teaching artist to facilitate high-quality learning for 25 elementary school children
$100 - provides a stipend for one professional teaching artist to facilitate a workshop for 25 middle and high school youth
$250 - helps sponsor a community partner to facilitate a hands-on special project at a campus summer camp
$500 - provides round trip transportation for 50 students to attend a field trip to a local cultural landmark like the Frontiers of Flight Museum
$1,000 – provides scholarship support for youth to attend high-quality afterschool programming for a school year
$2,000 – provides a high-quality professional learning experience to build the capacity of 40 youth development workers at partner agencies
