Navigating life with a cancer diagnosis is one of the most challenging experiences a person can have. Data shows that three out of four families in North Texas will experience cancer. And while our region boasts some of the finest medical care in the country, research tells us that oncology patients – and the people who care for them – need more than just medical care. They need equally expert social and emotional care from mental health professionals.
At Cancer Support Community North Texas, we take the scary out of cancer and help people impacted by this disease thrive. Whether a person with cancer, a caregiver or friend of someone who’s been diagnosed, participation at CSCNT is always free because generous people, like you, give. Our evidence-backed programming, including individual counseling and support groups led by licensed mental health professionals, nutritional and exercise programming, fun social activities, cancer resources and referrals, and our Noogieland program for kids, is completely donor funded.
