Casey's Place is a 501 C (3) founded in 2012 to provide a restorative environment of learning in which children and young people regain hope, develop confidence, and discover self-worth. Casey’s Place operates three programs:

1) Free 2B Me Camp- structured activities include, but are not limited to, horseback riding, animal interactions, character building lessons, socialization activities, learning centers, arts and crafts, meals, and snacks. Offered during the summer from 7 AM to 6 PM Monday – Friday and during school holidays.

2) After School Program- This program offers a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people are encouraged to improve academically and develop their unique talents.

3) Adult Parenting Skills Program- this new program is offered for the parents/caregivers of the children that attend our camps or after school programs.

Our Needs

This funding would help support our programs by providing an essential project to renovate and expand capacity at the Free 2B Me playground area which includes Casey’s Corner for character building games, arts & crafts, and free play (during inclement weather) allowing efficiency serving of the children and young people.  Our goal is $10,000.

Mission

Casey's Place inspires Hope, Self-Confidence, and Emotional Healing in youth through animal-assisted activities.

This generation is facing circumstances that cause pain, grief, learning differences such as ADD/ADHD, low self-esteem, as well as emotional and behavioral problems. Some of the circumstances that create a need for intervention are children in foster care, those being raised by someone other than their parents, substance abuse, divorce, domestic violence, parent incarceration and coping with blended families.

Equity Statement

Casey’s Place partners with local domestic violence shelters, children in foster care and juvenile probation to provide camps free of charge for youth in their programs; thriving on standing in the gap helping parents, caregivers, and grandparents raise up leaders of tomorrow. Our goal is to encourage and equip children, young people, and families to believe in themselves and help them to discover their self-worth by helping them to understand their circumstances do not determine their destiny. Casey’s Place loves being that place “Where a kid can still be a kid”, children and families will have an improved quality of life, emotional stability, and can move forward as healthy individuals / families who can function successfully in society.
