In a world where Christianity is associated with intolerance, exclusion and hate, the mission of Cathedral of Hope is to proclaim Christ through faith, hope and love. We are a community of many races, ethnic backgrounds, religious experiences, ages, sexual orientations and gender identities. No matter where you are on your journey of faith, you will have a home at Cathedral of Hope.

Our commitment to inclusion extends beyond the walls of the church through our expansive Meals of Hope programs which provide food and other essential goods to those experiencing food and housing insecurity.

The Meals of Hope program at Cathedral of Hope consists of several programs that happen throughout the week:

Breakfast at Cathedral of Hope (BACH): Saturday mornings we provide a hot, breakfast restaurant-style meal for those living with food insecurity. Guests are also provided access to medical care, social service, haircuts, and assistance enrolling in federal and state programs.

iCare: Monday mornings we provide lunch for those living with food insecurity. We also distribute food bags with non-perishable goods from our food pantry.

Taste of Hope: Throughout the week, teams of volunteers gather to cook, package, and deliver hot meals to those experiencing food insecurity and homelessness in and around the DFW region.

Blessing Bags: Volunteers assemble and distribute Blessing Bags, which are gallon sized sealable bags filled with personal hygiene items (socks, deodorant, menstrual supplies, soap) and small snack items. These bags are distributed by members of our community.

Thanksgiving Baskets: Each year we team up with partner organizations and donors to provide more than 500 Thanksgiving Baskets to community organizations and individuals. These baskets provide a Thanksgiving meal to a family of four who would otherwise go without.

In 2023 we served over 47,000 meals. 5,800 Blessing Bags to those experiencing Food Insecurity. Your donations help us in purchasing food and toiletries for those in need, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, soap, socks, protein bars, snacks and ingredients for freshly prepared hot meals.
