Lend A Helping Hand Program
$0 Raised
Code Pink Productions Inc. is an organization dedicated to supporting at-risk girls, homeless and battered women, low-income families, and advancing medical research. We achieve this through fundraising, event promotion, mentorship, and service volunteering. Just last July 2024, we awarded $750.00 each to two deserving individuals through our Gloria D. Muhammad (Our Founder’s Mother) Excellence Through Education Scholarship and the Tony Watkins "I Am King" Scholarship.
Our Code Pink Girls Program offers sports, arts, and small business initiatives to inspire our youth to stay positively influenced. In response to the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders, we introduced a virtual tutoring program, allowing our volunteers and staff to tutor students in grades 3-12.
We also run the "Let's Get Working" program, which assists low-income or unemployed individuals with résumé writing and interviewing skills, helping them secure better jobs or find employment. Additionally, our "Lend a Helping Hand" Program was initiated in response to the pandemic. It provides the homeless in the DFW and Chicagoland areas with essential items for maintaining safety and sanitation during the pandemic and moving forward.
Our Code Pink Warrior Program provides support, education, and resources to those battling health issues or have survived health crises with positive support and information to help keep them mentally and physically healthy. This program culminates in our Annual Celebration of Life event, which honors members of this program, educates attendees, provides entertainment, and offers small business owners a platform to showcase their products. During this event, we also award scholarships for the upcoming school year. The Celebration of Life is held each year at the end of July.
Our Needs
We are in need of funds to help support our programs and services, which we offer free of charge to those we serve. Additionally, we are in need of supplies for our homeless program necessity bags. We are also in constant need of volunteers to assist with our programs, tutor our students, help with fundraising, and spread the word about the great work we're doing in our communities. Lastly, we are seeking 10-20 laptop computers for participants in our Let's Get Working program. These laptops will enable virtual participation, and we would love to gift them to the participants when they graduate during the Re-Dress for Success graduation ceremony, where they also receive gently used work and interview attire donated to the organization.
