Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra (DAAYO)

Support Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra (DAAYO)  on North Texas Giving Day!

For over a quarter of a century, DAAYO has been enriching the lives of local students and our community through music. We’ve done this through our high-quality musical instruction, dynamic performance opportunities, international travel, and by incorporating classical music with Asian origins in our repertoire. From our inception in 1998 with a single small ensemble, DAAYO has grown to six performing groups with over 260 students.

Our community’s generous support made this possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for your belief in our mission to provide exceptional music education and performance opportunities.   Your contribution in 2024 will go toward two priority areas:

  1. Expand our reach: This year DAAYO will provide financial aid and tuition assistance of over $7000 to students with demonstrated need.
  2. Enhance our facilities: invest roughly $1200 in increasing our essential equipment – e.g. music stands and storage to maintain an optimal learning environment, and to make more efficient use of our space.

Once these two priority areas are covered, we’ll be applying your contributions to other operational areas such as instrument rental (e.g. percussion), music purchases, facility rental fees and operational, IT, and marketing expenditures.   Your contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact, and this year, it will go further!

Our board chairwoman Ms. Jane Jan has generously offered to match, 1:1, the first $5000 of donations to DAAYO!   Please consider donating today for North Texas Giving Day to help DAAYO continue to thrive. Thank you for your support!

Mission

DAAYO's mission is to develop youths of high musical ability and outstanding character through our musically advanced, collaborative music programs which delight and serve the North Texas community. Our orchestras feature a distinctive Asian flair in their repertoire, and are comprised of youths from all cultural backgrounds.
