Those of you who regularly attend our concerts understand the vast wealth of amazing music we have to explore!!

Our season usually consists of 7 traditional concerts with orchestra on original Baroque instruments and soloists and chorus in traditional concerts settings such as the Meyerson Symphony Center, Moody Performance Hall, or churches such as Zion Lutheran Church. We also produce a house concert series of 3 or 4 concerts featuring soloists in a recital style format in private homes or other intimate spaces.

This season we are adding two grand immersive experiences- an English madrigal evening with Shakespearian actors, and a Carnevale celebration for Mardi Gras featuring commedia dell'arte, Baroque dance, opera and instrumental music.

Our Needs

As the backbone of our organization, we ask our donors to contribute any amount that might support DBS in our efforts to employ our local musicians within our professional ensembles and to service our young aspiring musicians through our educational outreach programs. We are excited about our expanded programming this season and rely on your help as we grow. Last season, we expanded our outreach programs and added educational outreach through our Baroque BreakOut programs. We could use your support in continuing our successes with these additions. We have also expanded our Administrative staff to be able to meet the growing demands of our patrons. Your donations will help fund these important projects.

Mission

The mission of the Dallas Bach Society shall be to present historically-informed performances of the highest quality of the music of J.S. Bach and other great composers from the 17th and 18th centuries; to produce annual concert series featuring the finest artists in this field from Dallas, around the United States, and abroad; to promote the understanding of this music in lively and informed performances of both masterpieces familiar to music lovers and those awaiting their discovery; to promote the preservation and dissemination of this music through educational programs for students and the general public; to inspire, enlighten, and relate to our audiences and the communities and cultures in which we thrive, as we hold to the truth that music is our universal language which nourishes all our souls.
