People are always talking about how hard life is and of the accomplishments they've yet to achieve. I want to tell you about Pat Ford's achievements. She is a highly favored servant of God, Wife, mother, grandmother, missionary, volunteer, entrepreneur, and Founder of DCFI. She is fighting on the front lines in the southern sector of Dallas to help children and families to come out of the many facets of life that kept her down and out for a period of time in her life.

Mrs. Ford knows all too well how setbacks and circumstances in life which you may have no control over may keep you from living life to your fullest potential which led her to create DCFI a non-profit organization that gives people a hand up in life. Poverty crime mental illness teen pregnancy Mrs. Ford has seen it all and now she is helping people out of the torment she is all too familiar with.

Mrs. Ford started DCFI to give back to a community that is in much need of help. The community Mrs. Ford grew up in has the highest crime, HIV, teen pregnancy, and School dropout rates in Dallas. There is a ray of sunshine on the horizon beaming thru the thunderous clouds of lives. Mrs. Ford and DCFI seem to be a beam of hope this community needs.

Offering after-school programs for children, parenting and GED classes. Domestic violence classes, public assistance. Starting a neighborhood association for the community in 2013. DCFI is partners with a host of other agencies that assist DCFI to provide these services. If you need it and want it bad enough Mrs. Ford can help you to achieve it, she is a positive role model and an example that hard work determination and faithfulness to a Loving God truly pays off...

Our Needs

We saw first-hand this summer for the need of a multi- purpose center for the community. Our summer program we enrolled 85 students, but we could only serve 45 students. We know that it was many more students needed a place to go for the summer.

We need new A/C and Heating unit for our center that we are in now, along with new flooring. Our van is in need of new tires and maintenance.

A very successful pilot program that we started this year 2024 for our teens and young adults "Why Are You Here?” Skills for Success was successful.  Any help will help with this program.

Lastly, hopefully pinball machines (Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Marvel, and Chess boards etc.) these will serve as other activities for our after-school program. It will also, bring many children off the streets into a safe, healthy and nurturing environment. Your help MATTERS!!!

Thank you so much from the DCFI family!!!
