The Dallas County Medical Society and its charitable foundation, the DCMS Foundation, have a long and rich history of supporting the Dallas County community. We provide DCMS physician members with meaningful opportunities to use their medical skills to improve health outcomes in the community. DCMS is currently engaged in the "Campaign for the Future" capital campaign, with the goal to fund the renovation of the DCMS Headquarters in Uptown Dallas, offer interactive educational programming for K-12 students to increase an interest in the field of medicine as a career option, and to curate an historical collection of documents and artifacts housed in the DCMS Library and Museum to document the history of medicine in Dallas County. Mission
The Dallas County Medical Society (DCMS) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to advancing community health and well-being through education, outreach, and support. By fostering partnerships and promoting health initiatives, we strive to enhance the quality of life for all residents of Dallas County.
Needs
The DCMS Foundation purchased and renovated a new headquarters in the heart of Uptown, just minutes from where the majority of DCMS member physicians practice and/or live.
We invite you to support this transformative project. DCMS Foundation’s new building and the innovative programs currently under development will help cultivate the next generation of Dallas physicians. Our goals for the project are clear and compelling:
🏢 Renovate the 1960’s building so our member physicians and the community can enjoy a welcoming and architecturally significant space.
👨🏽⚕️ Create a program where school children can interact with DCMS physician volunteers to discover the possibilities of medicine as a professional opportunity.
📚 Construct a library of medicine and museum containing DCMS medical artifacts and documents that preserve the important history of physicians in Dallas.
The new building and programs DCMS develops will be community assets that inspire and grow the next generation of Dallas physicians, serve as a gathering place for physicians to conduct the business of DCMS, and host volunteers to lead interactive educational programs.
