The Dallas Derby Devils are one of North Texas' premier flat-track roller derby leagues, dedicated to fostering a strong, inclusive, and empowering community for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Founded in 2004, the Dallas Derby Devils have grown to become a vibrant organization that offers competitive opportunities and personal development through the dynamic sport of roller derby.

Our league is built on the principles of inclusivity, mutual respect, and athletic excellence. We provide a supportive environment where women, men and gender-expansive individuals can thrive, both on and off the track. Our programs cater to participants from the age of 7 through our junior program, which focuses on building the next generation of empowered, confident, and athletic youth, to our adult program, which offers multiple levels of competition, including rookies, home teams, and our elite All-Star squad.

Beyond competition, the Dallas Derby Devils are deeply committed to community engagement. We actively participate in local events, charitable initiatives, and partnerships that strengthen our ties to the North Texas community. Through our efforts, we aim to be more than just a sports league—we strive to be a beacon of empowerment, camaraderie, and positive change.

By supporting the Dallas Derby Devils on North Texas Giving Day, you are helping us continue our mission to provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for all skaters, while also contributing to the growth and visibility of roller derby in North Texas. Your generosity enables us to enhance our programs, expand our outreach, and inspire individuals of all ages to embrace the spirit of roller derby.

DDD’s vision is to be the competitive roller derby destination in DFW and to lead the growth of the sport by increasing visibility and access for members and fans.

We fulfill our mission by abiding by the following core values:

* We embrace inclusivity by supporting both the LGBTQIA and BIPOC community

* We strive for excellence in all our endeavors

* We support community service through acts of charitable contributions and participation in public events and entertainment

Needs

To continue fulfilling our mission of providing an empowering, body-positive environment for all individuals interested in roller derby, the Dallas Derby Devils require ongoing support and resources for both our adult and junior programs.

* Support for Diverse Competition Levels in Adult Program (18+): Our adult program is structured to accommodate participants at different stages of their roller derby journey, including rookies, home team skaters, and our All-Star squad. We need resources to provide specialized coaching, training facilities, and equipment tailored to each level, ensuring that all adult participants can develop their skills and compete to their fullest potential.

* Expansion of the Junior Program (Ages 7-17): Our junior program plays a critical role in nurturing the next generation of empowered and athletic individuals. To enhance this initiative, we need additional mentors, coaches, and funding for youth-specific training programs. By investing in our junior skaters, we offer them a strong foundation in both athletic development and community engagement.

* Infrastructure and Facility Development: As both our junior and adult programs grow, we require improved training facilities, safety equipment, and access to venues that accommodate the diverse needs of our participants. Ensuring a safe and supportive environment is essential for the continued success and expansion of our programs.

* Community Engagement and Outreach: To strengthen our role as active participants in the community, we need resources to expand our outreach efforts, increase our visibility, and engage with diverse community partners. This includes funding for events, promotional activities, and collaborations that connect our junior and adult programs with the broader community.

By meeting these needs, we can ensure that the Dallas Derby Devils remain a vibrant, inclusive community that empowers individuals through the sport of roller derby, fostering personal growth and athletic excellence for participants of all ages.

Equity Statement

At the Dallas Derby Devils, we are committed to fostering an environment where all individuals—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or socioeconomic background—are valued, respected, and given equitable opportunities to thrive both on and off the track. We recognize that equity is fundamental to achieving our mission and fulfilling our vision as the premier roller derby destination in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Our commitment to equity is reflected in our actions and policies, which aim to:

* Champion Inclusivity: We actively support and uplift the LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities, ensuring that our organization is a safe and welcoming space for all.

* Promote Accessibility: We strive to remove barriers to participation in roller derby, making the sport accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.

* Foster Mutual Respect: We cultivate a culture of mutual respect, where every member's voice is heard, and diverse perspectives are valued.

* Encourage Growth: We are dedicated to the personal and professional development of our members, offering resources and opportunities that empower them to reach their full potential.

* Engage with the Community: We believe in the power of community service and actively participate in initiatives that benefit our local communities, demonstrating our commitment to equity through our actions.

Equity is not just a value we uphold; it is the foundation upon which we build a stronger, more inclusive, and more vibrant roller derby community.
