The Board of the Drew Medford Memorial Tournament has awarded to date, $120,000 to local athletes who are selected by their coach. Award recipients are not required to play any sport in college. The tournament, which began in 2017, is supported by generous donations and sponsorships.

Mission

This annual high school varsity baseball tournament is unique in that a scholarship will be awarded to a senior player from each participating team. Your support will help to fund these scholarships. Each scholarship recipient, like Drew, is humble, coachable and leads from their position both on the field and in life.

Hosted by Arlington Heights and Paschal High School, The Drew Medford Memorial Tournament is an annual community event featuring great baseball and bringing the best regional talent to Fort Worth. The Tournament was established to honor the life of former University Little League alum, Paschal teammate, and TCU baseball player, Drew Medford.

Drew graduated in June, 2016 from Paschal High School. He was a member of the varsity baseball team through high school, and had signed to play baseball at TCU. Drew was a few days from beginning his college career when he was in a fatal car accident on August 18, 2016.

In recognition of Drew's passion and dedication to the game, but more importantly, his care for fellow baseball players, Drew's family and friends have established this tournament and scholarship fund in his name. Since it's inception in March, 2017, the Board of the DMMT has awarded over $120,000 in scholarships to participating seniors.
