Providing resources to support instructional priorities of the Garland Independent School District is the primary purpose of the Garland ISD Education Foundation. GEF's focus is to invest in district staff and students via grants which promote learning excellence in the classroom and continuing education scholarships. We also support districtwide initiatives. In the 2021-22 school year, GEF awarded more than $300,000 in grants and scholarships to teachers and administrators as well as an additional $50,000 for a district-specific special education initiatives. Throughout our more than 30 year history, the Foundation has invested over $3.7 million in Garland ISD.

Our Needs

Our greatest need is financial support from individuals, corporations and foundation to fund innovative education grants to Garland ISD staff. An investment in the Garland ISD Education Foundation is an investment in our most precious resource, our children.

Mission

The Garland ISD Education Foundation creates and fosters partnerships with the community to generate funds that support the education of our students to positively impact the future. The Foundation's vision is to enrich education and reward innovation.
