Good Local Markets was founded in 2009 with the idea that a neighborhood farmers market would improve the health and quality of life in east Dallas. Now in our 9th farmers market season, GLM is committed to this primary activity - operating growers-only neighborhood farmers markets in the Dallas area to bring economic opportunities to local small farms, food businesses and artisans. And by creating neighborhood farmers markets we have also brought fresh locally produced foods to our community, created jobs, encouraged healthy social interactions, and supported diversified use of farmland. Good Local Markets currently operates White Rock Farmers Market and Lakewood Village Farmers Market, two producer only farmers markets that support only local vendors from 150 mile radius of Dallas.
Our Needs
Good Local Markets is currently operating at a loss in order to support our North Texas Farmers and to provide a safe outdoor grocery experience for customers. Help us recover the costs of having a market space as we continue to operate without our regular income.
