Our Needs

Our need is for funding to enhance our established initiative and enhance future initiatives. The GRFD is dedicated to its mission of producing young men who are empowered and equipped to realize their full academic, career and leadership potential. Annually, the GRFD provides scholarships to high school graduating seniors entering college. Additionally, the GRFD has a quest to assist in reading and financial literacy for both school age students and adults. Lastly, there is an everlasting commitment to servicing the community through established civic activities.

OUR MISSION

To provide a means by which disadvantaged African-American young men can obtain a higher level of education, training and useful skills to promote self-sufficiency and become productive citizens.

OUR GOALS

Train and mentor youth in leadership development and career planning through innovative mentoring efforts

Continue philanthropic efforts by offering scholarships and grants to deserving high school graduates

Maintain 100% graduation rate for all youth program participants

Lead and partner with other organizations to assist in community service activities mainly (but not limited to) the South Dallas area
