Each Honor Flight DFW (HFDFW) journey impacts not only the veteran but their family and the community. Veterans finally have an opportunity to join their brothers and sisters to remember and honor those that passed during their time of service. 

Pausing at the World War II Freedom Wall with 4,048 gold stars, each representing 1000 Americans who died in the war. 

Scanning the over 2,400 photographs which are etched into the granite on the Korean Wall Memorial. 

Many seek out buddies lost to etch the name/s from the 58,281 names on the Wall.  Each moment is one of reflection and closure.

Our waiting list is over 150 and growing rapidly as veterans return from the day of honor and tell other veterans. 

The cost of the Honor Flight DFW journey is $1,300 per veteran and $52,000 per trip.  Time is of the essence for the majority veterans. All donations are greatly appreciated!

Mission

Honoring Those Who Served. Honor Flight DFW (HFDFW) is dedicated to honoring our WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans for the sacrifices they have made to keep our nation safe by providing them with an all-expense paid overnight trip to visit the memorials in Washington DC which symbolize the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of these veterans. Over 2,300 veterans traveled with HFDFW and have currently there are over 150 veterans on the waiting list to take this trip of a lifetime.

Needs

Funding to support veterans' travel on their "Trip of a Lifetime (their words not ours). Cost includes airfare, lodging, meals, clothing, rain and cold weather gear, insurance, pre and post-flight meetings, memory books, and other costs related to travel.

Medical supplies three portable oxygen concentrators and an AED ( automated external defibrillator).
