The mission of South Dallas/Fair Park Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC) is to create a vibrant, stable, and safe South Dallas Fair Park community by building partnerships that provide homeownership, economic development, and community education.
The ICDC headquarters was built in 2000. It replaced several dilapidated and abandoned buildings that at one time housed vibrant businesses. Our facility - known as Spring Plaza - is home to businesses that enhance the quality of life in our community. Although our facility was well built, it bears the marks of a building that has been well utilized for over 20 years. A recent professional quote estimates minor repairs and renovations at $119,500. These minor repairs and renovations are necessary to ensure that our facility has the capacity to house retail businesses that provide the greatest benefit to our South Dallas Fair Park community.
It is simply not enough to be included at the table…diversity is not enough, we have to change the systems that continue to promote that which is unjust and unfair. ICDC is committed to creating new structures that serve all.
