Our mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. We accomplish this through relevant curriculum in entrepreneurship, work-readiness, and financial literacy.
Junior Achievement of Dallas impacts students with programs that supplement our schools’ curricula by providing important life skills, like managing money, exploring careers, or starting a business.
At JA Dallas, we strive to:
Create an inclusive and diverse future workforce.
Address the racial, ethnic, and gender wealth gap.
Develop young entrepreneurs.
Leverage technology for greater reach and impact.
JA Dallas is also a change agent and diligently working to help break the generational cycle of poverty in our community by:
Introducing students to the transformative power of career exploration and career planning.
Teaching financial strategies to empower students to be fully engaged in the economy.
Connecting students with business role model volunteers to instill entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial mindsets.
Investing in innovative virtual learning experiences to increase opportunities for students and volunteers.
The JA Impact:
Over 90% of JA students report that they see savings as a necessity and plan to save money for the future.
Nearly 90% of 3rd-grade students identify earning, saving, spending, and donating as the choices they have with money after participating in JA.
94% of JA Finance Park students say that participating in JA taught them how to manage money.
Nearly 80% of JA Entrepreneurship Pathway students know the steps to create a business plan and over 74% plan to own a business after participating in JA.
4 out of 5 students identify soft skills such as listening, critical thinking, and communication as important skills for the workforce.
Our Needs
Calling all volunteers:
As so many components of our world are uncertain, we want to ensure that Junior Achievement's commitment to schools, teachers, and students remains unchanged. We are thrilled to offer exciting opportunities to engage volunteers with students in a virtual and in-person format. There are many available program options to impact K-12 students. To become a virtual or in-person volunteer, email Rayne Delgado, Volunteer Engagement Manager, at rdelgado@jadallas.org.
Make an Impact:
Funding will provide the resources to maintain our programs. Any support you can provide will have an immediate, positive impact on the students in our community during the next few months.
If you usually help us by volunteering in the classroom, please consider a donation of $62 to support two students' JA experience. With our deepest gratitude, your continued‚ support is appreciated.
If you cannot give today and would like to make a future contribution, please email development@jadallas.org.
Thank you for considering a donation to support our expansion of financial literacy and entrepreneurship education for students in the Dallas area.
