The KEEN Group(Kids Environmental Education Network) provides two unique programs. The Greenbunch introduces undeserved youth to outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, camping, and horseback riding. There is little greenspace in our area, therefore we visit state parks and lakes. The youth learn the importance of and practice land maintenance. To this date we have served 4753 youth.
Focus is a nature photograhy program and students are taught to use digital cameras and learn the terminology of the art. The six weeks class includes classroom training and field trips to landmarks, area parks and tourists locations. Upon the completion of the program, the students participate in a graduation ceremony showcasing their photography work by telling a story through their photos. The students receive a camera after completion of the program. To date ,346 students have been served.
