Besides promoting the importance of spaying and neutering our biggest impact that we try to make is the continued care our adoptees receive. First we are not just about adopting out a pet we want to make sure we find the right match for both the animal and the adopter. As well as set that family up for success by providing them with all the tools and information they need to take care of their new addition to the family. By this we do continued check-ins, provide links and information to affordable vaccinations, vet services including free visit. By doing this we hope to see a decrease in adoption failures and animal surrenders. We want to build a rapport with our adopters so that they not only recommend us but they know that if they need advice and or help that we are there and if we can't help them then we will at least point them in the right direction to get it.
Funding for Special Projects:
- Now that we have a new location for our Cat Sanctuary in Palestine TX we need funding for a dedicated building for the cats with a possible attached catio. Currently we are using a old mobilehome which has really limited how many cats we can put in one space.
-We are also in dire need of a storage unit for all our rescue supplies and adoption event equipment. Currently we are renting monthly for $175. But storage is located in Fort Worth and we need to relocate everything to Palestine, TX.Â
- Finally, since we are moving our rescue to Palestine on our 5 acre property we are needing to get an area setup for the dogs. Looking at adding a boarding kennel with dog runs.
Funding:
- Pay off vet bills
- To replenish funds food, litter, vetting costs, basic supplies and equipment needed to take care and house our rescued animals.
Helping animals in need and providing their 2nd chance at life through our Rescue, Foster, and Adoption program. All while continuing to educate and promote spay & neutering.
