Laundry Love Fort Worth, part of the larger Laundry Love movement, began as a mission of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church. As the mission grew, Laundry Love Fort Worth became its own non-profit organization in 2019.
The Laundry Love movement began when a homeless man in Ventura, California, was asked “How can we come along side your life in a meaningful way?” His response was honest and practical, and gave those asking the idea of Laundry Love.
Laundry Love Fort Worth, with the support of a growing group of community volunteers, serves approximately 100 individuals, including 65 families in southwest and west Fort Worth each month through two laundry day. Additional clients are served through the laundry card system, allowing them to utilize one of our laundrymat partners when their individual schedules permit.
We provide three main services at our Laundry Days:
Our mission is providing laundry assistance to those in need, thereby helping to restore dignity, respect, and self-esteem.
How your gift helps:
$30 helps provide art supplies for the children's area on a Saturday Laundry Day.
$125 helps provide food and snacks on Laundry Day.
$300 helps provide laundry supplies for a Laundry Day.
$750 helps provide the cost of the washer and dryer on Laundry Day.
$2,500 provides one Laundry Day per month.
$5,000 provides the cost of both Laundry Days for one month.
