Our approach is grounded in evidence-based, research-proven programs that prioritize prevention and early intervention. These initiatives support healthy child development and foster better behavioral and mental health outcomes.
In essence, we are committed to investing in children! From infancy through adolescence, Lena Pope provides vital services designed to strengthen family resilience, reduce challenging behaviors, and boost school readiness and success. Each year, our counseling, education, and behavior intervention programs benefit over 4,000 children and families, making a meaningful impact on their lives and futures.

Lena Pope's mission is to equip children, families, caregivers, and community with a strong foundation through counseling, education, and behavior interventions.
Needs
Childcare is expensive and there simply aren't enough high-quality childcare centers in our area, especially for low and middle income families. Your support allows Lena Pope to provide scholarships to families who qualify for financial assistance and help cover the cost of their tuition.
Mental health needs continue to grow in our community. The cost of counseling can be a hardship for many families, or they don't have insurance or can't afford to use their insurance. Lena Pope is able to provide flexible payment options for families based on income to ensure everyone in our community has access to mental health support. Everyone makes mistakes, but for some teenagers those mistakes can have far reaching effects. Lena Pope has several programs to keep youth from entering the juvenile justice system and ensure non-violent first-time offenders have support to make more positive choices.
