The Mansfield Commission for the Arts creates a vibrant community through the arts:
1. With large, free, community arts events, arts outreach events with the Mansfield ISD, and championing free and affordable arts experiences that provide access to unique arts experiences for all.
2. With grants and scholarships for arts organizations, individual artists, and arts students to fund growth of the arts, and the arts as a public good.
3. By acting as an arts resource for residents and artists. Connecting residents with the arts resources they need, and providing networking, education, and promotional opportunities for artists of all varieties.
4. By working closely with leaders on items like public art policy and hotel tax funding for the arts, and advocating for the arts at all levels of government.
To enhance the quality of life in our community by promoting, supporting, and advocating for artistic, cultural, and educational opportunities.
Funding for programs such as our Music Alley Festival, Arts Week, Artist Education Series, and Artist showcase events.
Grant and scholarship fund growth to provide financial stability and consistency for qualified applicants, and help the artists, arts businesses, and arts nonprofits in our community.
We have recently completed the first ever city-wide cultural arts master plan in Mansfield. Now implementation starts to enhance and grow arts and culture in our city. We need funding to implement the plan.
