Mission

To partner with the City of McKinney in enhancing the beautification and maintenance of parks and open spaces, fostering community involvement, and educating residents about proper waste disposal, natural resources, water conservation, and stormwater protection to ensure a vibrant, sustainable, and ecologically healthy environment for current and future generations.

Needs

Financial donations support ongoing and new projects for park beautification, maintenance, and educational programs. Donations ensure the sustainability of our efforts and allows for the expansion of initiatives.

Volunteers are an essential part of our organization and assist with park clean-ups, plantings, educational events, and community outreach.

Additionally, we are seeking corporate sponsorships. Partnering with local businesses for financial support, in-kind donations, and collaborative events will strengthen community ties and can provide essential resources for large-scale projects.

We also accept in-kind donations. This allows us to secure materials such as plants, gardening tools, educational materials, and other supplies. This reduces costs, can keep items from landfills, and ensures we have the necessary tools for various projects and events.

Equity Statement

The McKinney Parks Foundation is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all staff, volunteers, partners, vendors, and board members are treated with respect and dignity.

We are an organization that celebrates the rich diversity of North Texas. We will not tolerate discrimination, biases, harassment, or bullying. Regardless of race, socio-economic status, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, gender, or marital status, we are an organization that celebrates the richness of our community.
