In the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, approximately 40,000 new cancer cases are diagnosed each year. This data highlights the significant impact of cancer in the region and underscores the importance of organizations that provide support to cancer patients. The average household in American cannot handle a $400 “surprise”, much less a $2,500 deductible for insurance or lifesaving cancer treatment.
Me Squared Cancer Foundation was established in 2019 by Mimi Tran following her diagnosis with breast cancer. Mimi recognized her privilege in having the financial means, emotional support, and educational resources needed to navigate her cancer journey. During her treatment, Mimi was deeply troubled by a critical question: “What about those who lack the resources I have?”
At Me Squared Cancer Foundation, we believe that no one’s financial situation should dictate their access to life-saving cancer treatment. We offer financial grants of up to $3,500 to newly diagnosed adult cancer patients (within the past 12 months) in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.
We just celebrated our 5 Years Anniversary! In those 5 years, we have raised $1.4 million dollars, helping over 600 newly diagnosed cancer patients.
