MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Mental Health Services is the longest tenured program of Momentous Institute. Programming includes individual and family therapy, treatment groups, assessments and parent education in English and Spanish. We provide low-barrier access to comprehensive, strengths-based treatment, with no session limits, no geographic restriction, and regardless of ability to pay.

1,299 individual children and family members benefited from 11,427 hours of therapy provided by our team of therapists—through individual, group, and family therapy.

69% of families participating in some combination of family and group therapy had at least one family member demonstrate positive, reliable change during treatment.

596 caregivers were served through parent education programming, directly impacting 1,107 children in their care.

95% of caregivers participating in parent education gained new skills for effective parenting. At Momentous Institute, we focus on strengthening families because we know that improving parent-child relationships highly correlates with a child's social emotional health.
MOMENTOUS SCHOOL
Momentous School, established in 1997, is a laboratory school in Oak Cliff that serves 248 children three years of age through fifth grade with a rigorous social emotional learning and academic curriculum.

92% of Momentous School families reported feeling a sense of community with other school families.

100% of prekindergarten students and 95% of kindergarten through fifth grade students at Momentous School exhibited age appropriate or superior social emotional competencies.

94% of Momentous School alumni graduated on time from high school compared to 81% of U.S. low-income students.

82% of Momentous School alumni enroll in higher education compared to 52% of U.S. low-income students.

TRAINING AND RESEARCH
Training and Research is conducted to ensure the broad dissemination of our education and mental health practices, with a focus on building skills and knowledge to integrate our mental health-informed strategies into the existing system.
- Our training team provided training and consultation to 2,232 professionals in 2023.
- As of the fall 2024 semester, our nationally accredited Changemakers curriculum is being implemented in 30 U.S. States and 5 countries (Brazil, Canada, India, Turkey and Zambia) with the potential reach of over 50,000 students every year.
