Mission

Lions Club International mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Club.

The Oak Cliff Lions Club is all about doing services to the community, especially in the Dallas Oak Cliff area. From local projects such as funding the Oak Cliff Eye Clinic facility (in the 1950's), to a major contribution to the Dallas Zoo for the Bird and Reptile House (in the 1960's), a gift of monetary funds to the Oak Cliff YMCA Building on South Hampton Road (in the 1970's) and to help launch the tactile exhibit for the visually impaired at the Dallas Zoo (in the 1990's). Our Club members have been ready and willing to meet the needs of our community.
