Love Your Neighbor
OurCalling helps the unsheltered homeless walk with Jesus and get off the streets. Our outreach center in Dallas provides support services to 300+ men, women, and children daily, such as meals, laundry, showers, clothing, recovery classes, Bible studies, and opportunities to get off the streets. In addition to our brick-and-mortar building, OurCalling's Street Outreach Teams drive around Dallas and meet homeless individuals where they are to assess how we can best help them. This year, OurCalling has helped over 1,000 homeless neighbors off the street and into shelter, housing, rehabs, detox, and medical programs!
More Than a Bed and a Meal
Permanent solutions to homelessness are not easy or quick. We begin with a meal, but we don’t stop there. We build relationships by asking lots of questions. We build trust by doing what we say we are going to do. And we build custom exit strategies for each person to get out of homelessness for good.
Lives Transformed by Love
The road to healing and stability for someone living on the streets must include permanent housing, but more fundamentally, it must address the underlying causes of homelessness: the catastrophic breakdown of relationships with God, family, and community.
OurCalling helps our unsheltered homeless neighbors walk with Jesus and get off the streets. We do this by caring with dignity, connecting intentionally, and creating healthy community.
$15 provides hot showers, shower kits, and fresh clothes for our homeless neighbors.
$30 feeds a neighbor for a week - 6 breakfasts and 6 lunches.
$250 fills 5 gas tanks so that our Street Outreach Teams can visit our vulnerable homeless neighbors on the streets.
$1,700 helps someone off the street and into life changing programs
