Serve approximately 500 families weekly in the following zip codes: 75217, 75227, 75253
Neighbors fighting hunger get to select their food from shelves and tables arranged by major food groups
Someone on hand to assist with SNAP applications
Vendors for Medicare, Medicaid, pet food distribution, and community services on-site
Volunteers are needed to help with social media, unload food from trucks, stock grocery shelves, assist clients with shopping, assist with marketing, and assist with overall operations during distribution days and restocking day.
The mission of Pleasant Grove Food Pantry is to passionately pursue a hunger-free community in Pleasant Grove and the surrounding areas.
Pleasant Grove Food Pantry needs the following to ensure our neighbors fighting hunger get the food they need to thrive:
1. general operating funds to cover expenses associated with daily operations
2. volunteers to distribute food, retrieve shopping carts from parking lots, keep shopping shelves and tables stocked, retrieve donated food from truck, pick up food donations, conduct fundraising drives, clean facility, and other activities that are necessary for daily operations
